Shamil Rzayev, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA), held a meeting with Duncan Norman, newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Azerbaijan.

The meeting included an exchange of views on mutual cooperation in the field of humanitarian demining, as well as current priorities and future projects in this area.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that eliminating the mine threat is not only a matter of security, but is also of vital importance for ensuring sustainable peace and socio-economic development in the region, and for supporting the safe living and resettlement of the population.
