ANAMA Participates as an Expert in an International Seminar

A regional seminar on “Strengthening Information Management for Humanitarian Mine Action in the ASEAN Region” is being held in Jakarta, Republic of Indonesia, from 10 to 12 August of this year, jointly organized by the ASEAN Regional Mine Action Center (ARMAC) and the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD).
The seminar aims to strengthen regional cooperation in information management in the field of humanitarian mine action, share advanced international practices, enhance technical capacities, and promote the exchange of experience in data management.
Mr. Elnur Gasimov, Head of the Quality Control Department of the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA), is participating in the seminar as an expert speaker.
In addition, the Agency representative provided participants with detailed information on the large-scale humanitarian demining activities carried out in the liberated territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
At the event, as a recommendation for the establishment of a joint information centre within ASEAN, which comprises 11 countries, the opportunities created by the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Mine Action” and the Regulation “On the Mine Action Information System,” as well as the existing centralized institutional coordination mechanisms and the successfully implemented Unified Information System, were presented as effective examples.
