The Press Service of the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) report that a landmine incident occurred on August 2, 2026 in the territory of the liberated Khojavend region.

Ahad Ahadov, born in 1985, an employee of one of the private companies involved in humanitarian demining operations hit an anti-personnel mine while performing his duties. As a result of the incident, Ahad Ahadov was sustained various injuries.

The injured employee was evacuated to the district hospital. His condition is satisfactory, there is no danger to his life.
