The Press Services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor General's Office and the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) report that a landmine incident occurred on July 24, 2026 in the Hasanli village of the liberated Jabrayil region.

Elshan Shamilov, a resident of Gumlag village of Jabrayil district, born in 1979, was sustained injuries as a result of landmine explosion while ploughing land with a tractor in an area that had not been cleared of mines.

The Jabrayil district prosecutor's office is conducting an investigation.

ANAMA, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the General Prosecutor's Office once again urge citizens to strictly adhere to safety rules, pay attention to mine danger signs, avoid entering unfamiliar or potentially hazardous areas, and not interfere in areas where fencing activities are being carried out.
