The Press Services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor General's Office and the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) report that a landmine incident occurred on July 21, 2026 in the Zaylik village of the liberated Kalbajar region.

Sarkhan Isgandarov, a resident of Gazakh region, born in 1987, was injured as a result ordnance explosion while grazing animals in an area that had not been cleared of mines.

The district prosecutor's office is conducting an investigation.

ANAMA, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the General Prosecutor's Office once again urge citizens to strictly adhere to safety rules, pay attention to mine danger signs, avoid entering unfamiliar or potentially hazardous areas, and not interfere in areas where fencing activities are being carried out.
