The Press Service of the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) report that a landmine incident occurred on February 18, 2026 in the Mukhtar village of the liberated Khojaly region.

Vasif Chobanov, born in 2000, an employee of the Agency was injured as a result of an anti-personnel mine explosion while performing his duties.

As a result of the incident, the employee was sustained various injuries to his left hand and face.

Vasif Chobanov was evacuated to the district hospital.

His condition is satisfactory, there is no danger to his life.
