The Press Service of the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) report that a landmine incident occurred on January 7, 2026 in the Mehdili village of the liberated Jabrayil region.

Rashad Mammadov, born in 1985, an employee of one of the private companies involved in humanitarian demining operations was injured as a result of an anti-personnel mine explosion while performing his duties. As a result of the incident Rashad Mammadov was sustained minor injuries to his leg.

The injured person was evacuated to the district hospital. His condition is satisfactory, there is no danger to his life.
