The Press Service of the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) informs a landmine incident occurred on November 17, 2025 in Bala Jafarli village of Gazakh region, located on the border with Armenia.

Samir Imamverdiyev, born in 1988, an employee of the Agency was injured as a result of an anti-personnel mine explosion while performing his duties. As a result of the incident, the injured employee's right leg was amputated at the ankle.

Samir Imamverdiyev was evacuated to the district hospital. His condition is satisfactory, there is no danger to his life.
