The Press Services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor General's Office and the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) report that a landmine incident occurred on November 16, 2025 in the Sirkhavand village of Aghdara region.

Natig Aliyev, a resident of Barda village, born in 1990, was sustained injuries to his leg as a result of an anti-personnel mine explosion in an area that had not been cleared of landmines.

The Aghdara district prosecutor's office is conducting an investigation.

ANAMA, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the General Prosecutor's Office once again urge citizens to strictly adhere to safety rules, pay attention to mine danger signs, and avoid entering unfamiliar or potentially hazardous areas.
