The Press Service of the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) informs a landmine incident occurred on October 20, 2025 in Tagaverd village of Khojavend region.

Ilgar Shirinov, born in 1967, an employee of the Agency working as an excavator operator, was injured as a result of an anti-personnel mine explosion while performing his duties.

The injured individual was evacuated from the scene and transported to the district hospital. His right leg was amputated at the ankle, and his condition is reported as stable.
