The Press Services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor General's Office and the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) report that a landmine incident occurred on September 23, 2025 in the Mirashelli village of Aghdam region.

Sayyaf Ahmadov, a resident of Baharli village, born in 1971, was killed as a result of mine explosion in a cemetery that had not been cleared of mines.

The Aghdam district prosecutor's office is conducting an investigation.

ANAMA, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the General Prosecutor's Office once again urge citizens to strictly adhere to safety rules, pay attention to mine danger signs, and avoid entering unfamiliar or potentially hazardous areas.
