An improvised explosive device was discovered in Khojavend district

According to the appeal received through the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, employees of the Mine Action Agency conducted operations in the Bulutan village area of the Khojavend district. During these operations, an improvised booby-trap explosive device was found in one of the abandoned residential buildings.

During the operation, an improvised explosive device was discovered in the specified area, consisting of 1 PQ-7L rocket, 105 small arms cartridges attached with adhesive tape, and a hand grenade detonator installed with a tripwire to carry out the explosion. Additionally, in order to distract attention, numerous photographs were scattered around the explosive device, with one designed to activate the tripwire when touched.

The discovered explosive device was safely removed from the area by the Agency's employees.

Such booby-trapped explosives placed in civilian areas are installed with the aim of causing high-impact and deadly explosion.

ANAMA once again calls on citizens not to enter areas where they are unsure of their safety, not to touch unfamiliar objects, and to immediately report any suspicious items to the hotlines 805, 102, or 112.
