DOG HANDLER MANSUR ASLANOV IN ANAMA MINE DETECTION DOGS TEAM (MDD TEAM) AND HIS MINE DETECTION DOG NICO WAS AWARDED THE 1ST PLACE


Dog handler Mansur Aslanov in ANAMA Mine Detection Dogs Team (MDD Team) and his Mine Detection Dog Nico was awarded the 1st place as “best pair” in the nomination contest is held by Marshall Legacy Institute in US. The pairs being awarded the 1st place are invited to Washington each year and donors are reported about the work done.

This event, organized by the Marshall Legacy Institute (MLI) in US every year is organized with the participation of embassies from different countries, students, academics, businessmen, as well as donors providing financial support for humanitarian aid. It is very commendable that such an event is dedicated to Azerbaijan and to the humanitarian mine action in the country. ANAMA has been awarded for the highest quality and professionalism in a number of events organized by international organizations.

ANAMA Senior Officer Fikret Aliyev, Dog Handler Mansur Aslanov as well as representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the United States participated in this event held on October 09, 2013. Azerbaijan delegation along with representatives of ANAMA met a number of officials, students and donors and thanked them for their contributions to Mine Action in Azerbaijan.

Besides that, Mr. Fikret Aliyev and Mansur Aslanov together with the President of MLI Mr. Perry Baltimore and senior officer Mrs. Elise Becker, visited the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Washington and met with the Ambassador Mr. Elin Suleymanov on 08 October 2013.
