On 16 April, 2009 ANAMA as a member of SEEMACC was represented at the 19th meeting of the South-Eastern Europe Mine Action Coordination Council (SEEMACC) by Info Manager, Mr. Murad Rahimov. The meeting was held with the purpose of continuation of the co-operation in the area of entire mine action in the region of South-Eastern Europe and covered the range of questions within the agenda: the overview of SEEMACC and other regional activities in 2000-2008, discussion within the Pool of Experts in the field of Victim Assistance, consideration of proposals for regional initiatives and projects, endorsement of SEEMACC Rules of Procedures and appointment of the next SEEMACC meeting. During the second part of the meeting, a number of presentations were delivered by country representatives. Director of ITF Mr. Goran Gacnik gave the presentation on the overview of SEEMACC activities 2000-2008. Mr. Arben Braha, Director of Albanian Mine Action Executive informed SEEMACC members and guests about the achievements have been done to date and plans of the AMAE for the upcoming years. Mr. Luka Buhin, ITF Project Manager, in his presentation talked about the Pool of Experts in the field of VA Initiatives. Director of Mine Action Center (MAC) of Serbia Mr. Petar Mihajlovic gave presentation about Serbian MAC's activity. Five representatives from Georgia were invited to this meeting as guests to be familiar with SEEMACC and mine action centers' activity.
