On 15 September, 2006 the National Monitor of the TASIC Balkan/Cards Monitoring Program, Mr. Fuad Bagirov visited ANAMA facilities in Fuzuli district to acquaint with the ANAMA's operational activity, to familiarize with BOZENA-4 MDM in action and acquire the information on different aspects of ANAMA activities. Within the frame of the mission EC representative paid a visit to the school #1 in Horadiz region to monitor ongoing Mine Risk Education Program. On 16 September, 2006 the EC representative was hosted in the ANAMA HQs and had a meeting with ANAMA Director and Agency staff. Some of the critical subjects of the discussions were Mine Risk Education and Mine Victims Assistance which are considered by ANAMA as important components of mine action. During the meeting the contract between ANAMA and two NNGO's "Education of Human Rights" and "Dirchelish" had been signed. The main goal of the project conducted by NNGO "Education of Human Rights" is assistance in fulfilling of needs in social care of mine survivors from Baku and Sumgayit cities and Absheron district through revision of their degree of disability and the same action will be provided by another NNGO "Dirchelish" in Gazakh, Aghstafa, Tovuz, Shemkir and Samux districts. After the meeting the guest visited Rehabilitation Center for landmine survivors in Mardakan village, got acquainted with the procedures and treatment facilities of the sanatorium.
