On 20 May 2011, Ms. Nato Alhazishvili, - Deputy Resident Representative, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) paid her first visit to ANAMA to familiarize with mine action program in Azerbaijan and future plans for cooperation within the program. During the meeting at ANAMA HQs, ANAMA documentary reflecting all aspects of mine action activities in Azerbaijan has been delivered to the guest. In his turn, Mr. Nazim Ismayilov, Agency Director provided Ms. Nato Alhazishvili with brief information on agency's activities, recent achievements and projects implemented to date. He talked about cooperation with donors, governmental and non-governmental organizations, short and long-term strategies for upcoming years. He specially emphasized the support provided by UNDP which allowed Agency to visibly develop the national mine action capacity. During the discussions Ms. Nato Alhazishvili mentioned that UNDP has an intention to further assist the efforts on mine action activities in Azerbaijan.
