United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS) and the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD) gathered together technical and operational staff from mine action programmes and mine affected countries to a technology workshop in Geneva, held between the 6 and 8 September 2010. ANAMA was presented by Mr. Arif Aliyev Special Equipment Officer. The presentation reflecting Mechanical Demining capacity of ANAMA and an efficiency of the MDMs was presented to the participants by ANAMA representative. 75 participants from more than 30 countries participated in this workshop. The aim was to discuss technical issues relevant to mine/ERW clearance. The workshop follows a similar event held in 2006 and 2008, which brought together technology practitioners and specialists to share ideas and experiences. The theme for this year's workshop was "Merging Mine Action Technologies and Methodology".
