On August 3 2009, the delegation from the Royal Engineering Corps of Jordan paid a visit to ANAMA accompanied by the representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan. During the meeting with ANAMA Director the guests has been briefed on the status of mine action activities and provided with detailed presentation on the joint Azerbaijan-NATO/NAMSA Saloglu Project. The opportunities for possible cooperation between Azerbaijan and Jordan in mine action sphere for sharing experience and implementing joint initiatives have been mentioned in the context of the plans on future development of mine action programs in the countries. It has been emphasized by both sides that there is a wide range of activities which can be considering for bilateral cooperation between mine action programs based on the recent intergovernmental agreement on partnership and cooperation reached by the leaders of Jordan and Azerbaijan. On August 5 2009, Jordan delegation visited ANAMA Regional Training Base in Goygol to familiarize with ANAMA operational activities in situ and assess the existing operational capacity on all aspects of humanitarian mine action in Azerbaijan. They have also been provided with the field briefings and presentation by the Head of ANAMA TSQA Division to receive detailed information on ANAMA's expertise in provision of mine action training courses and overall capacity building experience.
