ANAMA Director highly valued this suggestion and mentioned that Jordan mine action experience is significant factor for cooperation between Jordan and Azerbaijan in providing military and humanitarian mine clearance when Azerbaijani territories occupied by Armenian forces are released. H.R.H. Prince Mired emphasized that there are a lot of similarities between mine action activities implemented in Jordan and Azerbaijan which can be successfully used as a good base for sharing experience and expertise in this direction as well as developing joint projects for provision of effective mine action programs in both countries. Within the frames of the visit Chairman of the NCDR Board, H.R.H. Prince Mired met with the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Republic, Mr. Abid Sharifov, Defence Advisor of President, General Vahid Aliyev and MFA representative Mr. Qalib Israfilov, Head of Division, Department of Security Affairs. H.R.H. Prince Mired came up with the suggestion for Azerbaijan: in order to spread the information about Azerbaijan Mine Action Program actively supported by the Government of Azerbaijan in the world community ANAMA jointly with diplomatic organizations should participate in Review Conference held in Cartagena in November 2009. Defence Advisor of President, General Vahid Aliyev noted that Azerbaijan always welcomes any joint international initiatives and this particular suggestion will also be considered.
