ANAMA holds meeting with the Ambassador of the French Republic to Azerbaijan

The Chairman of the Board of the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA), Vugar Suleymanov, held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of France to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Anne Bouillon.

During the meeting, the two parties exchanged views on the continuation of collaborative efforts to support humanitarian demining operations in Azerbaijan, between ANAMA and the French Embassy in Azerbaijan.

In their meeting, Mr. Suleymanov informed the Ambassador Anne Bouillon about the goals and priority projects of ANAMA under the Great Return Program, as well as the recovery and reconstruction activities currently being carried out in relevant areas. He emphasized that future collaboration between ANAMA and the French Embassy in Azerbaijan would contribute to the fight against the threat of landmines in Azerbaijan.

Ambassador Bouillon praised Azerbaijan's professional efforts in combatting the landmine problem and expressed her appreciation for ANAMA's extensive work towards solving the problem of landmine danger in the liberated territories.

At the meeting, a presentation was showcased that provided insights into the history of the Mine Action of the Republic of Azerbaijan's establishment, the overall activity directions, the ongoing landmine issue in the liberated territories, the perilous circumstances encountered by Azerbaijan, the demining operations undertaken, and the cutting-edge technological methods and tools utilized.
