ANAMA to involve 24 additional ambulances for field operations

In accordance with The International Mine Action Standard (IMAS), medical ambulances equipped with the necessary equipment must be available all times to ensure the safety of field staff, provide first aid to victims, and organize their immediate evacuation from the incident area. IMAS also emphasizes the importance of deploying medical staff with relevant knowledge and experience in field operations as part of the demining operations.

Taking into the abovementioned and in order to expand its material and technical base The National Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) acquired new emergency medical ambulances.

As part of the demining operations conducted by the Agency's staff in Karabakh, ANAMA will use 24 ambulances for field operations within the liberated territories of Karabakh

“Gazel Business 221717” special purpose emergency medical ambulances are equipped with first aid medical equipment, including ice bags, ice containers, medical stretchers (including spineboards for spinal injuries), oxygen cylinders, defibrillators and injury bags. High equipment level of ambulances allow to provide all the necessary first aid, emergency and rescue emergency care to the injured.

Emergency ambulances (4x4) are designed for comfortable and safe driving in off-road conditions.

It is noteworthy that all the personnel of the The National Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan are covered with accident, personal accident and voluntary medical insurances.
