The Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Binagadi District Branch of the New Azerbaijan Party organized an event titled “Heydar Aliyev – 100” in honor of the declaration of 2023 as the “Year of Heydar Aliyev”.

The event was a commemoration of the life and achievements of Heydar Aliyev, The National Leader who was renowned for his vision in fostering sustainable development and the renaissance of Azerbaijan. As the founder of the modern independent state of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev’s strategic foresight led to the establishment of The Mine Action Agency, which was also highlighted during the event.

The event was attended by several notable officials, including Vugar Suleymanov, the Chairman of the Board of the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Vusar Ismayilov, Chairman of the YAP Binagadi District Organization, Rufat Azizov, Director of the Educational Institute of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Eldar Ibrahimov, Kamaladdin Gafarov, members of the YAP Board and deputies of Milli Majlis, and Sevinj Suleymanova, Deputy Head of the Binagadi District Executive Power, as well as official representatives from various state institutions.

Throughout the speeches, attendees were provided with information about the life and accomplishments of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the path of sustainable development he paved for the social and political life of the independent Republic of Azerbaijan, and the extensive demining and restoration work carried out after the resounding victory in the 44-Day War.

Following the official speeches, panel discussions centered around the theme of “The Foundation of Safe Future - The Strategy of National Leader Heydar Aliyev”. Participants engaged in fruitful discussions on the implementation of joint action plans aimed at ensuring the safety and well-being of the people who have returned to the territories liberated from occupation.
